What is at the kernel of this system Parenti describes? Some might say it's a stretch to attempt to apply straight Girard to these economic phenomena, but a few of us at New Café have detected some explanatory power in break-downs of Rene Girard's theories, that is... paraphrased or economically interpreted Girardian concepts.
