Why are you supposing that it wouldn't be a public setting in the
barn?  There would still be the same people present, i.e. all the
discussants and no one else.  In the bar their would also be the
bartender, of course, but so what?  As long as we all keep buying
drinks he would not care what we say or do as long as we don't wreck
the place.
