Wow! How nice to be greeted by such visions each morning :-) I miss my
former place of residence where I could see off into the distance to
the east. Morning sunrises bring such a welcoming, spiritual feeling
to me.

If I had to move I would try ever so hard to find a southeasterly view
(perfect - though I'd go for easterly as well, then northeasterly!!)

A word for that first one, Annie:

Annie, you should live at the top of a round tower with windows all
around, then you could take pictures from all sides! :o)

Hi
New to forum and would like more feedback.

Wisconsin I 94 outside of New Richmond. Foggy November morning.

I like that very much - the light on the damp highway is super.

Do you use Flickr? that photo would be wonderful at 800 or 1024 pixels
wide!

Yup, I am a Flickr Pro for many years. Not certain how it ended up at
150 KB.

Now, let's do that again. I was up at sunrise this morning, and happy to see that there was a visible one. First, before it got past the bank of clouds on the south side of Lake Ontario

the south side of the lake

And then when it just peeked above, about 2 minutes later

Now that's real "fire in the sky."

--------

{Photography.103.120}: annie {oceanannie} Wed, 19 Dec 2012 09:10:18 EST (HTML)

This morning was glorious too a minute or less before the sun showed up. Those clouds weren't in the way

12-19 pre-sunrise 1

--------

{Photography.103.121}: annie {oceanannie} Wed, 19 Dec 2012 09:12:49 EST (HTML)

Then:

12-19 sunrise 2

and It seems to me that the sun shows up farther from the edge of the building at this time of year than it did eight years ago - but I'll have to look at photos of it in some other folder to be sure.

You can see a jet contrail--or its shadow--in {120} but not in {121}.
Intriguing.

At break of day. Beautiful.

{Photography.103.124}: annie {oceanannie} Wed, 19 Dec 2012 16:07:36 EST (HTML)

I noticed that too, Steve, didn't pay attention while choosing which shots to keep - there was at least two minutes between those pics, plus a lot of shots, too - I didn't think about looking back until after I deleted them from the card.

I think you can see a very faded bottom end in the second pic if you check the horizon of trees and find the same spot...

This morning. My camera tells me it was 9-ish, but it seems to be on EDST - I haven't figured out how to change it.
