Telephone Game Chat |
{Photography.76.1}: Kitty {kitty} Mon, 13 Dec 2004 06:03:13 EST (3 lines)
I hate to interrupt the flow of the pictures in the Telephone Game, So here's a topic to pay compliments, ask questions and make comments on the pictures in the Game.

The series with birds that just went by was really fun.
Kai, I particularly like {Photography.72.333}. Bluebirds get so
fluffy when it is cold!

{Photography.76.4}: Coyote {coyote} Tue, 14 Dec 2004 23:16:43 EST (5 lines)
Yes, that a fantastic shot! At Kitty's suggestion, I put a header in the Telephone Game topic that briefly describes the rules for posting. I also shortened the topic to, simply, "Telephone Game."
{Photography.76.5}: Diane Hamilton {dianeh} Wed, 15 Dec 2004 09:17:08 EST (2 lines)
You know I never heard of that - "telephone game." It is the same as what we call "whisper down the lane." But Telephone game?
{Photography.76.6}: Coyote {coyote} Wed, 15 Dec 2004 12:10:34 EST (3 lines)
Yes! When I was a kid, it was called "Operator" in reference to when everyone had party lines and the Operator had to dial your calls for you.
{Photography.76.7}: Nan Williams {nanwill} Wed, 15 Dec 2004 12:41:48 EST (4 lines)
I remember calling it "Gossip" -- and Norman Rockwell did a Saturday Evening Post cover of it: http://altura.speedera.net/ccimg.catalogcity.com/200000/203600/203649/Products/3172335.jpg
{Photography.76.8}: Kai {tj2} Wed, 15 Dec 2004 19:30:22 EST (HTML)
No, but I'll be damned if I remember where. I seem to remember being
near a river, but not which one...
{Photography.76.9}: David {david} Thu, 16 Dec 2004 05:07:20 EST (2 lines)
I want to tell Nan, "Don't give up so easily!" Your shots are worth making more of an effort for.

OOOhhhh Curt; nice purple moon. You hung it man!

Jak, a subtle yet timely segue from 72.357 to 72.360. Well done, and visually appealing!

Tom - that picture is great. Did you really mean to hide it?

Diane, nicely done!
{Photography.72.379}
I'm excited for you. Isn't this "painting" neat? Send your jpeg
file to an online printer and order an inexpensive print on matte
paper, say 11 x 14 inches. You will be amazed at how artful this
turns out.
{Photography.76.19}: Diane Hamilton {dianeh} Wed, 29 Dec 2004 21:26:40 EST (4 lines)
Thank you very much, Patrick. I got notecards made out of one of my altered photos and you're right they do look very arty.

Thanks! Every year I have a wonderful time photographing the huge New Years' Chinese festival here, of which this was a part in 2003.

Do you have Peony envy?
