Great articles, Jil!

It was quite a week. Thanks.

I bet! I really liked that customize Scion xB (the one that had input
from Riley Hawk). I really liked the customized classics, too. They
all looked great.

{Wheels.5.3447}: Jil {rabbit} Mon, 24 Nov 2014 15:10:14 EST (3 lines)

Yeah, that xB was a highlight for me, because I remember the year
that our local custom car show had so many vans that they had a
separate event for them. The guys got all the details right.

Couldn't help wondering about the structural rigidity of that pickup
that had that side door added to the bed. That's the first thing I
thought when I saw that.

--------

{Wheels.5.3449}: Jil {rabbit} Mon, 24 Nov 2014 18:13:45 EST (1 line)

I can't see it being a problem. It's a body-on-frame truck.

{Wheels.5.3450}: Joseph Kang {jsk} Mon, 24 Nov 2014 18:16:02 EST (1 line)

Ah. Good point. Hadn't thought of that.

Looks like Saleen is still having financial problems.

"In a new Securities and Exchange Commission filing, Saleen admits
that its financial situation is dire, and it has just $7,261 in cash
sitting in the bank as of September 30."

Thanks! I'll be writing a lot more on it ... but that was the "travel
type" stuff.

One of my favorite auto reviewers (beside Jil) is Chris Harris. I
recently found out that he left the /Drive channel on YouTube (which
had recently signed a deal with NBCSports and converted to a pay-for
channel) to strike out on his own. I was pretty happy to read that.
The only reason I subscribed to /Drive on YT was to see Harris's reviews.

In any case, his latest is a drive of the new AMG GT at Laguna Seca.
Sweet car. I had no idea that MB/AMG was rolling this out as a direct
competitor to the 911.

Motor Trend did their post-SEMA drag race again (apparently). Fun to
watch, not for the contest itself but for the vehicles that were used
in the drag race.

That Hellcat, though. It's sweeeeet!

This is great! They put the LS3 from a Camaro SS (along with a new
transmission) into a 1993 Nissan 240SX!

O.M.G.

I feel for this couple but ...

New Zealand couple manages to lock themselves in keyless car for 13 hours

[...]The Times explains that the couple’s inability to unlock the
doors stemmed from "a combination of stress, night-time, and what they
called a lack of information from a car salesperson."
