I love the paws.

> The composition isn't great...
Then, why not cut out the stuff that doesn't matter?

For some reason Judy's pic loads a little ways and then stops. (Maybe if I clear my cache?? ;-) I'll come back. the crop is nice, though. What a cutie! Diane, those photos are hilarious. They look like they know what you re up to!

The dog's name is Rolo. And he does seem quite aware of what we are up to.

I think I actually do have a cropped version of the picture somewhere. For me, the basket is part of the story because she loves to play in it, as she had just been doing prior to this snap.

The last of the kitties passed away in 1999. Guess they were just too
innocent to start a new millenium.

Looks like a handsome boy and a Persian mix. And since this is Photography I should probably mention the nice use of diagonals in the shadow. Well it is!

I love that compostion with the blacks and whites, and the way the cat is part of both the positive and negative spaces! (The only thing I'd like to see is that fence or whatever it is cropped out of the picture as much as possible. Very strong pic in just blacks and whites.)

Funny - I did crop that out (a shelf with mags and part of a doorway- this is an interior shot) and it lost its sense of height for me, so I left it in. Maybe it's only because I know the room, and someone seeing it without having been there doesn't get the "height" feeling from it. ... appreciate the comments. You guys put things into words, like 'positive and negative spaces,' and I just think, yeah, that's it. Articulate, you are.

The middle picture came out much darker on uploading than the original print.
I find this frustrating, because many of the pics I have uploaded
can't be shown directly here, since I used geocities and
photos.yahoo. I have recently started using photo.net which is much
better.

I love the top picture (cat on windowsill). It looks like a painting. I love the face on the middle picture.

Tom she has eyes just like our cats... almond shaped, you don't find those very often. Lying there absorbing all that music... must make her one cool cat.

Now that's a photo making a statement! As in, "I, Cat, occupy nine-tenths of my owner's universe!"

The last two pics only partially load for me and then stop. Big files? :-(( Leah looks like she's going to fall over backwards when she lands!

Arthur is gorgeous, Suzanne. His face reminds me a lot of my late great Johnny Appleseed, whose color was just slightly more silver than brown. Tom, great "story" shot of Leah.
