Oh, I *love* the barn and the pond! So beautiful and serene...

The hillside looks like it might have potential. Right now it looks
like a really old tapestry. Maybe it'll look newer after awhile.

It should color up soon.  If it's going to.  I read recently that the
largest contributing factor was the length of night time.  The more
darkness the more color.  I've heard for years that it had to do with
rainfall.

It went from just turning to this quickly. We haven't had a lot of real color around here this year. It's been raining a lot lately and we haven't been able to get to the Cumberland Plateau yet.

Didn't get a lot of leaf color this go around, but had a nice sunset after a day of heavy rain.

That Costco tree is nearly fluorescent! Almost makes up for the poor
ol' Charlie Brown tree. And the 'popcorn' sky is crazy-cool! As are
the colorful layers in {1001}. You've got a good eye. A lot of folks
either wouldn't notice or wouldn't appreciate what you see.

Here in the north of Canada fall colours are not as brilliant as they
are in, say, Ontario and Quebec, the Maritimes, or New England. But
they come around earlier. We drove north in late September along the
Mackenzie Highway through the forests of northern Alberta, and the
colours got more varied and more striking the farther north we got.
