I'd give you 38% lol
Here is some of the 'fruiting body' - the fleshy mushroom textured bit
with the spores coming from the reddy / brown area - enough to cover
the floor of the rooom this was found in.

Oh, man, that's quite the disaster area!

coyote, I've seen some serious disasters with dry rot. If it's not dealt with it can eat whole buildings.
So can termites...

If anyone has been to Dublin, Republic of Ireland--or if anyone knows anything about the O2 concert venue in the Docklands area of that city --maybe you can tell me what or who these fellers are s'posed to represent. They are in the parking area next to that O2.

No idea here, but they sure are interesting. . . and unusual.

Hello Rich, nice to see you....so they're just bears - I thought they might have to do with rugby what with all the stitching!

Spotted along the Coquihalla Highway heading east through BC from Vancouver. What is the heck is this building, anyway?

It's fairly big. Might be 6 feet high and a similar diameter. There were several along the roadside, maybe ten over a thirty-mile stretch.

Ask eepy - she lives out there, though I don't know the highway you're speaking of.

I'm old, that's why I thought I knew what it was! Toronto streets had lots of them when I was little.
Does that mean I have to find a mystery pic? If someone comes up
with a pic before I can find one, please do.

Here's one. I know what it shows--I just wanna know what I'm seeing. I took this shot on the edge of a rapidly-thawing lake. The ice is candling and has moved away from the shore. Under the ice you can see more ice. What looks like smoke in this picture seems to be emanating from some of the under-the-surface ice. The plume follows a trail made by an ATV or something on the surface ice. You can see the plume breaks up--there 's more than one trail and each plume seems to follow a trail. Anybody got any idea what's causing this effect?
