Nice!

Ah yes! But it 'LOOKS' like yours anyway!

{Photography.21.1531}: TJ {tj2} Mon, 13 Jun 2011 17:27:27 CDT (1 line)

Does that mean that I have a "style"?

--------

{Photography.21.1532}: annie {oceanannie} Mon, 13 Jun 2011 20:44:37 CDT (HTML)

mmm, I don't know, but there is something that seems to indicate your photos - maybe I'm imagining it. But let's hope I'm not!!

That's San Javier in the background. Near Tucson. Very nice.

That's correct, except it's Mission San Xavier Del Bac. While Paddy Mackin and I were both in Tucson last winter, he came by our campground and we went out to the mission to get some shots. I get to see Paddy every now and then since they began snowbirding in Arizona a couple of years ago.

Yeah, I knew that Xavier, instead of Javier. Duh! I lived in Tucson for
14 years and visited there at least half a dozen times. I even have a
counted cross-stitch picture of it that I did while I lived there. How
embarrassing!

Did, TJ say, “Mission San Xavier Del Bac”? We two had a great time on a photo shoot at the Mission.

Come see my photos of the Mission at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/paddrick/sets/72157626001038808/

I love the one with the gorgeous, southwestern sky behind it. That's
very much like the cross-stitch I have hanging on my wall.

I hope we can do it again this winter. We'll be staying in the same
RV place in Tucson for a couple of weeks. I loved seeing the different
interpretations of the same scene. Sonora Desert Museum maybe? Or is
that too much walking?

--------

{Photography.21.1539}: Nancy Davison {nmdavison} Tue, 27 Sep 2011 06:25:07 CDT (6 lines)

No, the Desert Museum is not that much walking. There are some very
interesting exhibits. Of course, in a sense it's also like a big zoo,
with some of the larger desert animals in open habitats. That's always
bothered me.

I should be up for another walkabout at the Sonora Desert Museum. I
was there a couple of winters ago, and grabbed some nice shots. I
enjoyed taking pictures of the raptors in flight. TJ, as long as I
don’t have to sprint, let’s plan on a photo shoot together at the SDM.

You're on. We'll be in touch.

{Photography.21.1542}: TJ {tj2} Tue, 27 Sep 2011 17:30:45 CDT (5 lines)

...and I'm not much of a sprinter anymore myself. When I was in
Arches and Canyonlands a while back I wore myself out more than once.
How much walking you do at Sonora Desert Museum depends on how much of
the park you want to see. Neither Paddy nor I are able to cover the
same ground we once could.

Before and After

I didn’t like the cluttered background of this beautiful cactus in the botanical gardens of Tucson, Arizona:

So, I digitally transplanted it to a more scenic location:

You are so clever!!! One would never know.

Outstanding!

As I don't have suitable backgrounds for my flower pics, I played around with this one so that the sofa and stuffed animals weren't blurrily in the background.

Masterful, Annie; standouting!

Thanks Paddrick!

Excellent masking from the background. Well done!

{Photography.21.1551}: annie {oceanannie} Sun, 23 Sep 2012 10:41:04 CDT (HTML)

I can thank that little 'fill' thingy for it. It only works if the background is totally opposite from what has to be saved. I was kind of tickled with this one myself!!

--------

{Photography.21.1552}: Paddrick Mackin {paddrick} Sun, 23 Sep 2012 22:25:12 CDT (1 line)

Tickle yourself again Annie; you did very well with this one!

You're all so kind!!
