It definitely doesn't justify what she did, but I'm guessing there's another side to the story.

According to the article, striking the vehicle was an accident, and the kids had apologized to the woman. They were walking away when she chose to attack them with her vehicle. Scary.

the fact that she was leaving, then turned around and hopped the median a couple times says a lot.
{Wheels.7.37}: Jil {rabbit} Wed, 08 Dec 2004 14:43:25 CST (2 lines)
It does say her version doesn't match the one given ... although turning around does say a lot, as you mentioned, Joseph.

unrealistic expectations are the cause of all road rage :-)
{Wheels.7.41}: Joseph Kang {jsk} Thu, 28 Jul 2005 08:46:43 CDT (2 lines)
Hm... The most common cause of my road rage is listening to news on NPR about the present administration. ;-)
{Wheels.7.42}: Marc Damico {barkmoss} Thu, 28 Jul 2005 08:53:45 CDT (2 lines)
see, now the only thing that would upset me would be if they started behaving with authentic regard for the country. :-)

So delivering it to your desktop helps you in your car how? :)
{Wheels.7.48}: Jil {rabbit} Thu, 14 Feb 2008 16:50:09 CST (1 line)
You put it in your hard drive.
{Wheels.7.49}: Joseph Kang {jsk} Thu, 14 Feb 2008 17:01:14 CST (4 lines)
Yes, but should you really be looking at your computer while you're driving? Or is this meant more as a trip planning tool? I didn't get the purpose for this either.
{Wheels.7.50}: Jil {rabbit} Thu, 14 Feb 2008 18:01:18 CST (1 line)
I'm guessing it's a trip planner.
{Wheels.7.51}: Bianca R. {lily1} Thu, 28 Feb 2008 17:38:21 CST (1 line)
If you could get it delivered to your cell phone that might be useful.

Here there is an english speaking radio station that keeps you up to date of all the traffic conditions... never used it myself but have heard of it. During Ramadan -- fasting month here when everyones nerves are at breaking point closer to eating time my husband was slowly following traffic over a bridge and could not go any faster because there was traffic infront of him. A huge bus behind him got impatient and started honking and then preceded to keep bumping into the back of my husbands jeep. My husband got out and proceeded to try to strangle the guy.... Our back door still has to be fixed but we cannot find the replacement parts to fix it....
{Wheels.7.53}: Jil {rabbit} Mon, 21 Apr 2008 09:10:14 CDT (1 line)
Good heavens!
{Wheels.7.54}: Joseph Kang {jsk} Tue, 17 Feb 2009 11:41:31 CST (10 lines)
I thought the "pass a slow driver, cut them off, and hit the brakes" maneuver around here was solely performed by males but the other day I encountered a woman who appeared to be in her 60s do it to another older driver. As I passed them both, I looked over and could see her looking in the rear view mirror and waving her right arm angrily at the car behind her. I chuckled because she was just the "slow car" in front of me as we were moving to merge onto a highway and I was getting frustrated by her slow speed in preparation for merging...
{Wheels.7.55}: Jil {rabbit} Tue, 17 Feb 2009 11:42:41 CST (4 lines)
Ha! Age knows no boundaries ... Yesterday we were driving in Toronto, and found ourselves behind a man who came up to a green light, stopped, and waited.
{Wheels.7.56}: Joseph Kang {jsk} Tue, 17 Feb 2009 11:55:10 CST (1 line)
D'oh!
{Wheels.7.57}: Joseph Kang {jsk} Tue, 17 Feb 2009 11:55:26 CST (1 line)
Maybe it was "Opposite Day" in Toronto?
{Wheels.7.58}: Jil {rabbit} Tue, 17 Feb 2009 12:46:51 CST (1 line)
Well, it WAS "Family Day".
