Reflections

--------

{Photography.51.1}: Diane Hamilton {dianeh} Mon, 09 Feb 2004 21:14:04 CST (HTML)

Thought it would be neat to have a topic for reflected images. Kai got me started on it because I always like the pictures he takes of the reflections in the pond at his house. So now I am always on the look out for good reflected images.

I took this one last Wednesday.

Good idea for a topic, Diane.

Neat shapes in that one.

Diane, I like it. Just for fun I flipped it the other way. Hope you don't mind.

What a great picture! Love the hint of pink.

No, I don't mind, Rick. I did the same thing to see what it would
look like.

The touch of pink was because it was sunset.

Diane, that's great. One of the things I like about reflected images
is how they are usually disorienting - it takes me a moment to figure
out what's going on.

I love this one.

Great - it succeeds in being gorgeous, moody and ingenious.

Both of those are so interesting. (I like the flip Rick)
I know it's a reflection of the sky in 51.8 but my mind keeps
whispering fire and fog.

Wow....... I *really* like Hole In The Sky {8}, Diane.
Totally zens me out.

Can't remember if I posted this somewhere in the forum before or not. But Jak noticed a small version I attached (for another forum home page, actually) in the "Attachments Only" topic, and I thought I'd post the larger version here.

Taken in our "yard!" :-)

Gorgeous!

Please, somebody crop the non-reflection part off the top and repost
it! Very cool.

Glad you guys like it.

On the matter of cropping it, however, this is cropped. I meant to leave that bit of ground at the top! :-)

May I use that as wallpaper, Kai?

I swear I posted in here and it's not here. ;-( Great shot, Kai.
YOur photos of reflections are what got me started taking reflected
shots. You are the Yoda of the genre.

The Yoda of Reflection?

How mystical.

Heh.

It helps to have a pond by the house...though I do look for them elsewhere.

This one is a little bigger file than I'd prefer to post, even cutting it down from 10 to 8 inches width, and saving for web. But, what the heck...

Taken at another pond...

OK, that's enough to make me want to come see it!

What season was that?

omg, those are absolutely stunning! Me too for the wall paper...

Diane, Merv and I went hiking with our cameras today. I was mindful of
your "reflections" thread while we were about. I'm hoping some of them
come out well.
