Hey, it's the opposite of Yes's "Close to the Edge" inner album art.

I was a route salesman for Wonder Bread/Hostess Cake for almost 22 years, and before they tore down our bakery in Minneapolis about 25 years ago, I went out one Sunday morning and took some pictures with my Canon T-90 and had prints made for anyone who might have been nostalgic. I also posted one on my Flickr page.

Today I got a Flickr message from a news editor for Minnesota Public Radio, who was doing a short blog post after the announcement of the demise of Hostess Brands and the Twinkie. He asked to use my picture, and of course I gave him permission. The post is here: "http://minnesota.publicradio.org/collections/special/columns/news_cut/archive/2012/11/twinkies_heaven_in_minneapolis.shtml"

Congratualtions, Terry. You've hit the big time.

That's awesome, TJ!

I suspect that the Hostess company or it's products will come back in
another form, but without its union employees.

Until then, you can pay a small fortune for Twinkies on eBay.

Imagine buying Twinkies from eBay! Mind you, some might be considered
antiques and be very valuable!!

Interesting article, Donald - and a gorgeous (oh ha ha, lookit my
punny pun pun) photo there of the falls.

Apparently Hostess in Canada isn't affected. Annie, we can make a
mint selling them south of the border.

I only ever ate one once. Learned my lesson.

This is one of several I got in an email. I don't know how to find the original address. They're all knockouts.

let's fix that, Donald, with a couple of " marks.

photography-contest-gallery-1.1210406#ixzz2Dj1wVrKJ"

I think that'll work with the " at the beginning, too.

I put the quotation mark there and it changed itself to a colon. If
computers were so smart mine wouldn't have made that mistake.

It was just being cranky this morning, I guess!

Ooo... I always love those National Geographic photo award winners. In
that particular batch, I think the red-eyed frog is my fave. But the
tiger shaking off the water is amazing.

Donald, there's a website called TinEye.com that allows you to upload
a photo for a reverse image search. Often, it will show you so many
websites where the photo has been uploaded that it's difficult to pin
down the actual photographer/artist.

As it turns out, that gorgeous snowy river photo was taken by a
photographer whose moniker is "Jacob H" at a well known, stock photo
website. You can see him and his portfolio here:

Thanks, C. I'll try to remember the site. He seems to travel
constantly.

Wonder why my cameras won't do that.

A good friend and colleague, Danny Bailey, was in Edmonton, Alberta a
while ago and spent some time shooting landscapes.

Danny always makes me want to throw my camera away.

His taste in subject material is very much like mine, it appears. I
like the work with the wide lenses.
